Find Ancestors

Well I have looked all day for a death of a Jane Taylor in the Oct Nov Dec quarter and the Jan Feb Mar. Can't find a blimmin thing.

It is now pelting with rain after quite a nice morning but that has now put the dampers on the whole day.

,Just a long shot on the 1891 as the father was a George and a baker and mother was Elizabeth J.
I too was just hoping to find an Evelyn as their daughter on the 1901.

Back to the drawing board.

No Jude I did'nt think that family was right either. I just put up the census to see if this couple had a daughter Evelyn.

It seems Evelyn married a Mr. Shaw and died in Scotland. It is said that her mother was Jane Morrison and her father was George Taylor a Baker.

All in all not convinced George Abercrombie Taylor is your man.

Missing 1901??? - it's not 53 it's 57 in the image and Chas is Elizabeth I think. All squashed in at the bottom of a page...no sign of Alice or Evelyn though

Age is right with all the censuses found

So if these are Evelyn's parents she certainly did not die in childbirth with Evelyn as she is alive in 1911. But at 69 in 1911 that would have made her 54 when giving birth to Evelyn...old but not impossible but surely impossible to die in childbirth aged 70?!!

Do you have her marriage certificate? What age was she on it?

You say she was born 1884-6 and death suggested 1895 but she lied...yet you then believe she was 15 in 1911 census when, if she WAS born 1884-6, she would be around 25.

Good morning.
Yes this is the only clue I have. It seems this may be her but I dont know where to go from here.Her marriage cert gives age 21 in 1917. which would make birth 1894-96
Speaking to my brother who told me there was a story that her mother died in childbirth so I will check for a Jane Taylor in deaths for 1894-1896.He also tells me he thinks she was born on christmas day. As I say this may be all just stories but its the only lead I have. Will let you know if I get anywhere.

Dont think the 1891 census is right family as the mother would have been too old.

The 1911 census says they have been married 34 years.

Can't see any mention of any other children alive. Have looked on baptisms and can't even find the child we have found.

Herbert Williamson was born in Binbrook Lics and his wife born in Yorkshire Stanley all their children born Shepherds Bush and Evelyn is down as Shepherds Bush too.

An Evelyn born shepherds Bush does not seem to appear on any other census

Please could you tell me the family that Evelyn was living with on 1911?

What do you think about the info I gave you on the 1891 census?

Thank you for your help.My mothers illness is too far advanced for any recollection. I am relying on things she told me when she was more able.It is late I will look in tommorow.

I am working on the assumption that Evelyn is the one found in tha 1911 census living as a servant with a family in shepherds Bush. I would like to follow this lead but I am unsure where to go from here.

It's just a thought but have you tried showing your mother photos of her family as they can often bring something to light. I did this with my mums aunt who had altheimers and it worked.She came out with lots of info which helped a lot.

Am signing off now as I have had a hard day today.
