It's quite likely that they never did marry. The 41 years married for Addie may be from when she first married someone else.

Old

Old Report 29 Jun 2012 20:44

Henry was born 20 Sept 1836 to Charles James Horsey and his wife Anne Simmonds.

Henry was always a butcher.

He married first Jane Edwards, born abt. 1835, on 27 Sept.1862. There was one child - Field Charles Horsey born 1864, died 1866. Jane Horsey died 1867.

Henry is shown as a widower on the 1871 & 1881 Census.
On the 1891 Census he is married to Adelaide who was born Brighton, Sussex abt.1846. Henry is a retired butcher aged 54

On the 1911 Census Henry is a retired butcher, Adelaide 'Addie' is shown as being married 41 years - there are no children.

I have been unable to find the marriage for Henry Field Horsey to Adelaide (believe Pollard but cannot remember why).

Henry's will left his effects to a nephew Frederick Wilde.

Thanks in advance
