Gins. Sorry. I just want to try and map out Harry's life, when and where he moved to and lived. You and the others have given me some lovely information, for which I am grateful.

Yes, it certainly does sound about right. Would both Rose and her sister Marian name their daughters Patricia Ann? It is very odd and the ages are almost identical.

Just doing a little more research on that house sale and Patricia Ann Bart was 53 years old in 2008 making her born abt. 1955. Close enough to be Patricia Ann Bateman?

I had been told that another one of Harry's daughters had emigrated too, but I am not sure which one. I know it wasn't Dorothy, Joan, or Christine. I thought it may have been Marian. She married a Fred Bateman in 1954, Hull. They had 3 daughters, Pamela M in 1961, Paulin in 1958 and (OMG) Patricia Ann Bateman in 1954. No, she can't be the Patricia Ann Bart on the sale of the property, that would be their cousin. Got to be a coincidence, I would think.

Did you know about the connection and Rose' married name? I must have read it wrong, I thought you said you didnt know which daughter went to the US

I can't find a birth in UK for a Peter Edward or a Patricia Ann Franczak - they must have been born after they emigrated to Los Angeles.

Yes, I know all about Dorothy. She was raped by an American Serviceman at the time of WW2 on the way home from her job. This resulted in a son who after several months had to be put up for adoption as Dorothy was so young and her large family could not afford to support the baby. The babies name was changed and he - in later life found her and moved her closer to his home address until she died.

She did not emigrate I'm afraid. I have all that info.

Oh I'm having a day of senior moments today. Let's blame it on the heat. It never clicked in my brain that Nina was Janina!

Well I had Richard A and Janina M and that gives me their full names. I didn't have a Peter Edward. He wasn't on the passenger list so perhaps born over their.

Interesting that Nina (Janina) is trustee and that they are all buying it in 2008??? Aleksander died in 2007 (according to the info given me on this thread) so it must have been after probate in 2008 - I would think.

What an interesting find. I wonder who the patricia Ann Bart is? do you think that it is another child and Bart is her married name? therefore having an equal share in the property?

thanks for the Ivy Dunwell stuff. I had got it but it is always useful, I guess to have it on th thread.

I have been looking at my tree and notice that Harry's youngest daughter was only 10 when he decided to leave for New York. Rose was 30ish - a nurse - I'm sure my mum said that she was nursing harry before he passed away.

From what I can gather two of the older girls went to NY/Canada and the younger children stayed with their mum which I think is why there was a rift between the children in the family.

The orbits would be nice to have, it may mention other family members.

Where are you getting this info from? I can't find it.
