Hi, Thanks for all your help it says on the marriage cert of Ilma Kathleem and John George, that he divorced Beatrice, I did not know that he had been married before, a fact which my dad who is 95 does not know, also that there was a daughter from Beatrice. I also cannot find a deathcert for John George, my dad seems to remember him dying when he was a small boy around 1924/25 as Ilma my dads' mum asked the Railway Benevolent Fund for financial help as she was left on her own with to boys to bring up.

John Wills - Spitalfields - (London - Middlesex)
I am trying to trace the parents of John Wills born c1807-1810 he married Catherine Swain on St Helena in 1831 where they had at least two children before returning to London to have several more children. One of the children born in St Helena was George Wills c1835 who is listed on one of the census as a Police Inspector. Can anyone help me?

If you have the marriage cert for John george then maybe you can compere the signature to the 1911 census to see if they are the same guy.

Daisy Beatrice Mary Wills 1897 married 20/7/1918 naming dad as John George Wills a Clerk.
Her address at the time was 18,Portsea Place.

What's interesting is that Ilma was a barmaid at the Railway Hotel in Croydon and the John George we have found worked for the railways.

Something isn't adding up here unless Ilma is wife number 2. However, I can't find a death for Beatrice.
