Good point. I must say I have done it without a mouse but it's really hard.
I never said it was easy, took me a while to master but well worth it.
I can't stand using the little thingy on a laptop so bought a mouse for that too!

If I can copy & paste anyone can!

depress left mouse button (keep pressed)
sweep cursor over what you want to copy - area will turn blue
release mouse button
right click
left click on copy
go to where you want to put this stuff
right click
left click on 'paste'.
Bingo!

Dea, I have been told how to cut & paste. Unfortunately the info just doesn't stay in my brain!

Just can't seem to find the "cut" info when I want to post it!

Tess.

How nice to find a family connection Tess !

I have posted on many hundreds, probably thousands of threads and have never yet found one which connected to 'my' family! :-(

Dea Xxx

P.S. Tess - Why can't you cut and paste? - Is it a problem with your computer or do you need some advice as to how to do it ?

From freebmd

Marriage Elizabeth Alice Trillow to Charles Bailey or Ernest Potts 1907 Manchester

Death Elizabeth Alice Bailey June 1909 Manchester aged 19.

1891 Census
Brunswick Place \newcross Manchester

William T Triller 25 born Shropshire
Jessie Triller 28 born Liverpool
Jennie Triller 5 " Manchester
Tom Triller 3 "
Elizabeth Triller 1 "

Sorry, I still can't cut and Paste. Am pretty sure that this is "our" family.
Janet is called Jennie (not unusual)
I reckon that one year old Elizabeth was called Alice in 1901 Census.
Off to check births/deaths for Alice/Elizabeth.

P.S. this is my family too (rather distant cousins).

Good morning Sue,

The marriage took place on November '22nd' - If you look closely at the first '2' and then to what comes next, you will see that it is also a '2' but the down stroke connecting the top 'curl' to the bottom 'circle and tail' is VERY feint.

Here is the link for anyone else interested:

Hi Sue, I have a William T Trillo in my tree born c1866 in Harewood End Shropshire.

I wonder if he is your Janets Trillow father.

I have found various spellings of this surname -
Trillo, Trilloe, Trillow, Triller. Trilla and quite a few more.

I haven't got the hang of searching my own (new) tree) yet. But will try to find more about William T.

His parents were Sarah Birtwell and Thomas Trillo.

Good luck,

Tess
