I don't think she is the marriage to James Wright Reed- Exeter 1864- Its earlier than the news articles-and she's till called Tapp in 1868-and also he doesn't seem toappear in the newspaper at all-or have a police record. His background seems a bit too respectable!- I could be wrong but think him highly unlikely

I have posted lots of info before so before anyone starts on me - I KNOW I have posted about this person before!

I am just hoping that with fresh eyes and more info available-that someone just might enjoy a challenge and be able to help me.

What I KNOW already
Mary Ann Tapp Born Teignmouth Devon C1827
Mother was called Mary- not sure on her Father. (Mother a widow on 1841)

She had siblings called George born C1818 teignmouth and Susan Born about 1821 Teignmouth-but their ages var a lot.

In 1851-she's at teignmouth
bewtween 1851-1861 they -all 3 of them- moved to Exeter Devon
1861 Mary ANn Tapp lives at 7 Smythen Street Exeter- a dressmaker
1862- Mary Ann has a police record - Exeter
1866- Mary ANn lives at Smythen Street with her sister Susan-running a 'guest House'
1868 There is a newspaper article on her-claiming damages for a fight that happened in 1866 at the guest house-amazingly-she got 5s out of it!
Her brother George died in 1868 of TB

Her sister didn't die till 1883 but I cannot find anything of Mary Ann Tapp after Jan 8th 1868.

I fy ou are offended by my asking then please don't try and help!
Anybody who likes a hunt then I would be very very grateful as she's the only one out of that lot (Other than her children-but thats another story-I think they died-as they are only mentioned on one census)- that I cannot trace.

Grateful for any help-or even thoughts as to where else I can look.

UPDATE- Have already had one nasty comment to me for asking- Why bother reading threads if all you want to do is pick fault?-please only read on if you genuinely want to help x
thank you
