Harold is my gt grandfather and I have been unsuccessful with finding him on the 1911 census. Information above is correct as it was obtained from 1881 census. Can anyone give me any advice or suggestions how to locate him?

The 1901 census and death notice information on this thread is indeed correct.
He married Annie Walmsley in Bolton in 1912 and died in Bolton in 1947. In the 1891 census he was a cotton piecer and on my grandmother's 1913 birth certificate, he was a journeyman clogger - not sure what this is. As far as I know, he never enlisted.

No-one has actually posted 1901 for Harold............

He certainly had older brothers Thomas & Charles which fit with the above 'Charles & Clara' family.

He joined in August 1900 at which time he was a Groom.
