Hello everyone,
i hope some one can advise me on finding information on a ancestors iron-foundry.
He was Charles Haley 1789-1861 and owned a foundry in Bradford ,this was Diamond St,he also owed several houses close by on Ebenezer St.He lived in one of the houses to.
What i am looking for is how can i find out more info on his iron works.

BRADFORD OBSERVER - Thursay 18 April 1861
Deaths
On Monday last, age 72, Mr Charles Haley, iron founder, Ebenezer Street.

Same publication 22 April 1841 - he's mentioned in an article about a man who committed suicide in a house opposite his foundry. The man had hung himself and Charles had cut him down.

BRADFORD OBSERVER - Thursday 7 December 1843
Notice is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned CHARLES HALEY, JOSEPH HALEY, JOHN HALEY, JOSHUA HALEY, ENOCH HALEY and EMANUEL HALEY as brass and iron founders, at Bradford and Shipley, both in the county of York, was this day dissolved by mutual consent, and that the said partnership will in future be carried on by the said Charles Haley and John Haley and that all debts due to and owing from the said partnership will be received and paid by the said Charles Haley and John Haley. As witness our hands, this 4th day of December 1843.
(I reckon you could work out the relationships of Charles to the other Haleys mentioned).

In the Observer of Thursday 22 February 1855 there is an article very similarly worded to the one above stating that on the 9th Feb 1855 the partnership between Charles Haley and John Haley, trading as "Charles Haley & Co" was dissolved and the business was continued by John Haley alone.

Article too long too type out in entirety. A John Boyd was prosecuted for stealing all of the brass parts froma steam engine owned by Charles Haley, iron founder. The engine was rendered unusable.
