1981 coldest day in Glasgow according to Multicoloured Swap Shop....the background was a nasty railway embankment transformed by the snow...we rehearsed on the Friday in wellies. The bride's father wore long-johns. The bride wore strappy thong shoes (size 7 feet do not look good in white) and they were freezing :-)

Re: the 1911 arrival in Australia - above.

That lady was Lilian Burgum (a domestic) when she left Liverpool. She was with a Timothy Burgum, a blacksmith.

This would be them on the 1911, in Gloucestershire:
BURGUM, Timothy Head Widower M 68 1843 Blacksmith Little Dean Parish in The
BURGUM, Lilian Daughter Single F 26 1885 County of Gloucestershire

So, I reckon we can eliminate them.

hi i dont know if lily went over seas but it looks like she might have.lilys mothers maiden name was bramhall so did she marry ashforth then a burgum?

Aha! Born before George & Mary's marriage so her legal name was Ashforth:
