Find Ancestors

I know Dennis or Denise Shrubsoll was born abt 1629 in Kent. Her parents were: Edward Shrubsoll and Marie Hinderson, also born in Kent. I've been trying to find the correct parents of Edward and Marie, but not easy! I thought Edward's parents were: Richard Shrubsoll and Dorothy Hales, but not so sure now. No idea about Marie parents, although I have tried to find out...

To avoid giving unnecessary advice, where have you looked, please?

Have you visited the County Records Office?

'Kent' is a bit vague................have you no more precise location info?

I think when you get this far back... your at the far end of your family research, and not easy to go back much further... that is why I was hoping that Edward Shrubsoll parents were: Richard Shrubsoll and Dorothy Hales, because her father was Sir Charles Hales born abt 1545 and Anne Honywood, and I know there is quite a lot of info about on these families from Kent, going way, way back in time!

The Shrubsoll and I sometimes see it written as: Shrubsole, the family seemed to have lived in Boughton Bleane in Kent, but probably other places too.

Who were Edward Shrubsoll parents ? Could be Richard Shrubsoll and Dorothy Hales, but not 100% sure. I will keep looking around, and ask others...

I also did a "Search ALL trees" on here... and there are a few people who seem to match with the Shrubsoll etc... I'm still waiting for a reply, also, have they got it correct, or climbing up the wrong tree... hard to tell.

All very interesting Kucinta! Edward Shrubsolls father could have been: Edward/Christopher/William, and I also see there is a Rychard (Richard), that's made it more of a puzzle ??? However, it's very very helpful, so thanks VERY MUCH Kucinta!

I can see how family research going this far back is not easy at all! I think some people could also be climbing up the wrong tree! Now, I have a better idea who Edward parents could be, but not sure which one! Kucinta, any thoughts/ideas on this ? I suppose, it's end of the road... regarding this search.

I have the Birth/Death dates for Dennis or Denise Shrubsoll: 1629, 29th of April bp: Boughton under Blean, she died on the 21st March 1709.

I think I did see a Richard Shrubsole or Shrubsoll who married a Dorothy Hales. Anyway, I have some info now to think about, perhaps something else will turn up...

Yes, found it, I wrote it down: Richard Shrubsole married Dorothy Hales at St. Bredins Canterbury 1605, Kent. The Shrubsole could also be: Shrubsoll, just the way it was written, happens a lot, I'm told.

All a bit of an interesting puzzle, you get clues/ideas, but can't be sure.
