Dyton/Dithon, Lucy Isabella looking for more info

I have this to go by...

Name: Lucy Ditohn
Age: 3
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1878
Relation: Daughter
Father's Name: James Ditohn
Mother's Name: Ellen Ditohn
Gender: Female
Where born: Ipswich, Suffolk, England

My Grandma told me her mother was Lucy Dyton but the name was also spelled Ditohn. I guess I will have to pay for the certificate to be sure because there are several places where this family has an Emma listed instead of Ellen. Apparently consistency isn't important with the census!
I found a reference to Agnes Ellen Fulcher on Ancestry.com which would make sense concidering the daughter Ellen Agnes Vinyard 1875....but that may not be correct. Can't assume anything in genealogy! There are also references to a Ellen or Emma Rowe as Lucy's mother.

I just noticed you found another spelling for Dyton.....Dytohn! HELP!
So Emma King must be his second wife. Mother of Isabella Dighton/Dyton.

Sorry, no I don't have the certificates. The ones I paid to see apparently didn't save anywhere!! And I didn't write them down as I thought I had saved them. :-(

As Chris said, BMD certs cost 9.24 GBP - for this you get a paper copy - they are not online anywhere - well, that's not quite true of church marrs, as sometimes the parish record is online.

Thank you Reggie for sending me the link! I got into contact with Marina through GenesReunited! She is my Mother's cousin from Ipswich. Imagine my surprise to find she lives a four hour drive from me in the USA! We have met in person! So HAPPY I joined this site! Thank you for sharing the link with me - I do appreciate it! :-D
