Her death date would tie with the qtr on the above death ref,.

The will shows her home address. She may have died elsewhere

just interesting to note on 1911 census one of her sons is Thomas James and the Mary Ellen in 1881 has two brothers Thomas and James but probably a coincidence

Hi,
thanks for your quick response, i have also looked at this one , i was a bit unsure because of the 1875 DOB for mary ellen , when i thought it was 1877 or 76. Would i be able to find out when this john hall actually died ? because if i found that to be before 1904 it would give me a little more evdence that i could be on the right track.
i am fairly new to this , but i seem to have been able to trace my great grandads side pretty easy but im stuck with mary ellen,
thanks again maddie :-)

jmj25 Report 29 May 2013 15:28

Hi,
Can anyone out there help ?
i am searching for my maternal great grandmother mary ellen hall, i have found her on the 1911 census when she was married to my great grandfather john william denny in skipton yorkshire, it does not state her place of birth on the census only ox wrote in red, from the 1911 census i worked her DOB to 1877 but have since got a copy of her wedding cert and now believe it to be 1876 as she was 28 when she got married on 26/12/1904, the only info i have for her is what is on the marriage cert, she was a domestic servant, her father was john hall,he was deceased at time of wedding and his occupation had been a quarryman, i dont know place of her birth, mothers name or of any siblings,i cant find any trace of her before she was married, i am hoping theres some good detectives out there who may be able to help!! many thanks :-) :-) :-) :-)
