Thanks Stuart and Jax, I've got some following up to do here, checking it all out etc....Interesting if that Mary E is ours and married as it might mean some more brothers/sisters for my grandfather. Just to update you I've had 2 messages from from descendants of Albert Edward and Agnes Bertha...distant but finally relatives nonetheless. Thanks for your digging : )

Oh yeah missed that one Stuart

William Thomas is in a tree on ancestry...no parents... one child mentioned but looks like they had at least two, doesn't look like they are direct decendants

Jax - Charles William S died 1905 - posted on previous page. On FMP as Pearce, too much of a coincidence of names/initials not to be the same person??

Am beginning to think that the form filling was interrupted and the kids got forgotten!

Is this the marriage of MAry Elizabeth??

Sorry, that' the first time I've heard of the others, knew there were at least 4 from he census. We know very little about them. Only know about Mary as she's a direct line .

If you know that Mary Elizabeth is their daughter , do you know the names of the other children which was asked earlier?

CLK

CLK Report 5 Jun 2013 20:08

Thanks everyone, yes I've contacted all the tree owners but haven't heard anything yet.
The children aren't on the census, so that's what were thinking Stuart.
Jax - Mary Elizabeth that's the daughter we are particularly interested in
Gai - you never know!

Thanks for the Hilda MAry death Jax - not on FMP

Wonder if they were staying with relatives and were wrongly recorded with that surname??

jax Report 5 Jun 2013 18:40

As they were living in the Strood area in 1901 this could be their first child...unless you know different

Free bmd brings up the following 6 births in the Medway RD post marriage and pre Sep Qtr 1911 when mmn was also available. Cross reference with deaths on free bmd and later census to try and "match" children to parents.

EDIT - this presumes they were born in the Medway area, where parents married and post 1912 children were born, which may not be the case.

Do you know who the 4 children were, who are missing from the census?

CLK

CLK Report 5 Jun 2013 17:35

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Yes I've got a lot of researching to do! They are a new line to us after years of having a brick wall so I thought I would post on here as it's all changed since I last used the site. I've had more joy doing that before than messaging people who probably haven't been on here for years!

Not sure if any of my Craddock's ventured to Kent or not as most of them seem to be around Manchester during the late 1880/90's but will do some more investigation.
