Looks like he had a brother (just because they were baptised together doesn't necessarily mean they were twins): |

This looks like William's baptism: |

DJ, don't worry too much about the spellings! The family is the only one with an Edwin born at the right time who has a father William. |

I am a bit confused up to William. The family in 1861 Catcott may be correct too but am very confused due to the spellings |

No children showing with William and Sarah in 1881 and 1891; Sarah has died by 1901 and William is living with his daughter, Lavinia: |

Yet another variation (although this one is a mistranscription of a poor image - I have posted a correction): |

Using Edington for POB, could be this family in 1861, living in Catcott, Somerset: |

Change of POB in 1891: |

1911 census say that they had had 3 children (so you have found them all); 1 has died. So, William is on the census and if you have Margaret's DOD on the gravestone, you can work out whether it is she or Sarah who died before 1911 |

OK. I am wondering if I could get further help about the family as I am finding it hard with the surname variations. |

Not sure where the above transcription of the 1881 census is from but the image makes no mention of Wales - just says "Somerset, Byrtle". Other POBs on the page "Devon, Torquay". |

I am wondering, there isn't a Somerset in Wales, the records say "Somerset, Wales" do they mean England?? |

And yes, Margaret married WILLIAM WILLIAMSON MILLER (he is also buried in the same grave) |

Judging from you Census posts, I think these may be correct.. Thanks, but I am wondering why it is "Symonds" when the FreeBMD says "Simmons" ? |
