Right sorry at the beginning, we have a death certificate for my husbands grandfather... Can't find his birth certificate.....

It reads James,john Joseph allardyce Robb.

Name/surname of father Joseph Robb (deceased)
Name surname of mother Georgina Robb then m.s allardyce (deceased)

So I was trying to look for their marriage ......


Seems strange he had the allardyce in his name too! Was this her maiden surname?

Have looked for births in Scotland and Ireland !!!!

Do you have a birth registration for one of the children? If born in Scotland the birth registration will give the date and place of the parents marriage.

Have you tried familysearch ?

It does not offer subscriptions....................
