After doing a bit of digging i think i have come up with some better information.
I think I have found the address where Roberts parents lived.
Is there a way of searching the address to see who lived there and find out information about them that way? As i still cant find Isa.

Roberts parents were Robert Hunter and Marion (was Hanter)

Thanks guys :-)

I'm not for one minute saying that this is Isa, but as I've found it I may as well post it:

HUNTER, ISABELLA MUIRHEAD

Rank: Civilian
Date of Death: 06/05/1941
Age: 34
Regiment/Service: Civilian War Dead

Reporting Authority: PAISLEY, BURGH OF, SCOTLAND

Additional Information:
F.A.P. member; W.V.S.; of 14 Well Street. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hunter, of 69 Neilston Road. Died at Woodside F.A.P.

This is from the list of Civilian War Dead on the CWGC
http://www.cwgc.org/

When you get the marriage certificate you can then compare the father's name from that with this record to either eliminate it or to investigate further.

Samantha, forgot to mention, if you order the cert from GRO there is a box to tick if the GRO reference is known - tick that, all of the info is on the record I posted earlier.

My nan cannot remember as he died when she was young (she thinks) her memory isnt what it used to be.
As far as she is aware she was fairly young and never asked her mother so as not to upset her.
She has a feeling that he was in the forces (not sure which)

If you buy a copy of his marriage certificate it will give you his father's name and occupation and also his address at the time of marriage which may help find other info.

Samantha, do you know where/when he died? (Death record may give date of birth)

Was Isa still single when she vanished and do you know whereabouts she went missing from?

In case you don't already have it:

Surname First name(s) Spouse District Vol Page
Marriages Jun 1936
Hunter Robert Kearton Aldershot 2c 567
Kearton Hilda E L Hunter Aldershot 2c 567

You can order the certificate from GRO, costs £9.25
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp

It would also confirm his age at marriage.

Hi MarieCeleste

Yes she is fine, its my nan and she doesnt know how to use a computer :-S
Basically the only information she has on both is the information i have provided and she would be grateful of any additional information that she doesnt know.
Such as was he in the army, who his parents were, where he lived, any other siblings, whether isa died or lived and if she lived where she went or if she is on any records.

Sorry i know this is a tricky one with not much information to go on!

Hello Samantha, welcome to the boards.

What sort of info are you looking for that his daughter is unable to provide? (Is she OK with you putting her details on a forum that will come up in search results?)

If you're looking for info about his parents then his marriage certificate should name his father (if known).

Hi all, looking for any information on Robert Hunter
The information i have is he was born in Cowdenbeath (>70%)
He married /Hilda Ellen Lucy Kearton/ possibly Hilda Helen Lucy Kearton who was from Farnborough Hampshire
They had a child Davina Leslie Hunter who now lives in Wilton, Salisbury Wiltshire
He was possibly born around 1911, Davina was born in 1939 in Salisbury.

Also looking for any information on Robert's sister Isa? Known as Isa but there could be variations on this such as Isobel? Elisa?
She vanished during the Blitz and nobody heard anything more of her.
She was also born in Scotland.

Any information would be appreciated to help me continue my search :-)
Thanks!
