I have him in 1901 and 1911 he is a coal miner.

Can anyone please locate him in 1891 so I can check his parents' names.

There was one miss spelling on a later generation of Deathe

So it looks likely that John and Alice were his parents, thanks to all for that. 1881 is sorted so I am left with the 1891 mystery :-(

It's not clear to me that Wm is a sibling of all the others - he's the only one born in Stanley subdistrict, and he looks like he's illegitimate to me.
