To be fair Reggie, the "Mark as Answered" tick is very misleading and doesn't come with instructions for newcomers to the boards (the sooner GR get rid of that tick after years of asking the better). |

If the widow Harriet Sosbe who remarried in 1835 was originally Harriet Porter then how could her husband be deceased if he fathered a child in 1854? |

Ah, just checked the image for the 1835 marriage for Harriet Sosbe to Edmund Wilcox - one of the witnesses was James Porter and it's the same signature as on the 1829 marriage. |
