Potty - the transcription I've got says Boot intur and Publican. I Get the publican bit- have googled the address and it's still a pub! but Boot Intur was odd. Riveter makes sense -but odd combination!

they all say born in county, but one never knows, but occupations don't seem a good match

( Ancestry's common mistranscription is 'Shong' but I don't see one of them to match either )

I have just found this man - and trying to see if there is a connection to my Henry Strong who I think was in Portsea in 1879 when/where his wife died (Although I have the death cert there is still a little bit of a question over whether it is them). Henry was also born in Crediton .Devon like this Benjamin Strong. I am wondering if he may have been a relative as, as yet I have no idea why my Henry was at Portsea!
If anybody has access to these earlier ones of Benjamin I would be grateful as Library shut now till Thurs afternoon- and I'm working :(
