If you mean on the census it's difficult with Ancestry but can be done with every census record on FMP.
If you mean later than 1911 you would need the electoral rolls I think.

Hi, yes I added and subtracted and whichever way it doesnt add up so I suppose will have to just assume its a mistake x I am now piecing together a picture of fredericks life and am so grateful to all for the help, had no idea what the Derby mens scheme was so looked it up x learning as well .Astra how do you do an address search?

That is why i queried her age when she married. Her death certificate has the wrong age. It could be a mis-transcription I suppose from the written page to the typed list but as you say it just doesn't add up..

Something is not adding up here
marraige certiificate has frederick as 23 and Elizabeth h j as 24 marraige 11/12/1913

Elizabeths death cert says she was 72 in 1953
All of Fredericks dates add up and Elizabeth is informant of death and address tallies
which should have made her 62? is this a mistake do you think or my maths worse than I thought

Are you sure Karen that you have the correct death certificate for Frederick?
Were their ages given on the marriage certificate?
