Where are you looking? If you give your uncle's details, somebody may be able to find it.

Mel found the marriage on the Ancestry site. You can also find it on the familysearch site that AnnCardiff posted, but that site doesn't tie up the partners in marriages.

You can order the cert on line from this site:

http://www.hse.ie/eng/services/list/1/bdm/Certificates/

The cert will give the fathers' names and then you can search for the families on the Irish 1901 and 1911 censuses (the only surviving Irish censuses) on this site:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

The censuses are free and you can view images of the census. As with other UK 1911 censuses, they give details of no of years married and no of children.

This site has records for Co Wicklow but you have to pay to view

Thanks, My Grandma's maiden name was Keziah Leeson she was the oldest and born in 1922 and has brothers John and Peter and sister Charlotte Elizabeth known as Betty. I found their birth details from family as registered in Shillelagh which is Wicklow I think. Her mother was Elizabeth Griffin and Father Richard Leeson and the family seem to have moved over to Cheshire although some are still in Ireland. I am struggling to find even the marriages and subsequent children born in Ireland and moving back to find the next Generation back. I know that in 1820 there was a mass destruction of data in Ireland but I hope to fill in the blanks to that point at least. I would welcome guidance on how to start.
