Venables married Sarah Jane Plant born Scotland to Benjamin 1824 born Derbyshire and Maria 1831 Scotland.According to tree on ancestry which seems to be OK.

They had Annie and Reginald Butterworth who in 1911 are with their aunt Maria Ellison sister of Sarah Jane Plant.

Going back to the marriage of Venables Butterworth as far as I can see Venables was his mothers maiden name. I wonder if his second name was James and they used that?? It is just a thought.

I know Dora wasn't born until 1891 but stranger things have happened and there was another daughter Alice born much later.

So this one was born 1858 roughly and Sarah Plant was born 1860.
