Also present at the great explosion at Halifax Harbour in December 1917.
In February 1919 he was demobilised holding the General Service and Victory medals.

George William Crann seems to have disappeared. Can't see WW1 death or any other obvious death for him.

Wonder why Rose waited until 1949 to marry Herbert Larcombe - perhaps that's a clue!

Both families had Lidgate and London connections. The three brothers served on the Western Front during the First World War. Only William survived. As well as trench life, topics include family news, Lidgate, past times.

Frederick William might have put Henry Crann on his marriage certificate to "Save Face"

He might not have actually known who his father was.
