Hey JoonieCloonie,
You are absolutely brilliant.. I closed this thread thinking that I had got what I was seeking and you come up with even more info (on your last post). It saves me possibly starting a new thread in due course. Thank you once again.

also just to summarize what has been found in case it helps, the info that seems to go together is
Christopher Bunster son of Thomas and Ann was baptised in Nov 1774 in Helland, Cornwall http://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/more-info/?t=baptisms&id=3737124 https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NPDG-P26
also: Thomas Bunster married Ann Wadling in Jan 1774 in Bodmin, Cornwall http://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/more-info/?t=marriages&id=919567
Christopher Bunster married Jane Dunstone in 1803 in Feock, Cornwall http://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/more-info/?t=marriages&id=699386 (Feock borders Kea parish on the north)
(unfortunately, Jane Dunstone is a very common name in baptisms in Cornwall, and also with spelling variants, could have been Dunstan ... and not all baptism records are available on line ... a Jane Dunstan daughter of Edith was baptised in 1787 in Kenwyn which is also in the same area as Kea ... in the censuses there are numerous Dunstan Dunston Dunstone-s born and/or living in Kea, Kenwyn and Feock)
Peter Bunster son of Christopher and Jane was baptised in 1807 in Kea, Cornwall https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NFTB-PB1 he very probably died in infancy ... burial in 1808 in Devon: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KC9W-3PX
Elizabeth Bunster daughter of Christopher and Jane was baptised in 1820 in Devonport (Morrice St Wesleyan baptism) https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JMJN-T52
Christopher Bunster born about 1773 died in 1832 in Stoke Damerel, Devon
a note on daughter Elizabeth born in 1820 she is in the 1841 census with mother Jane and brother John (called Bruster by Ancestry and corrected by a user) ... one of the other members of the household is Abram Vosper (called Prosper by Ancestry and corrected by the same user) ... so I suspect this is her marriage:
Marriages Dec 1841 BOUNDEY Elizabeth E Stonehouse 9 390 >> BUNSTER Elizabeth E Stonehouse 9 390 JEFFERY Eliza Et Stonehouse 9 390 LOBB Charles E Stonehouse 9 390 PARSONS John Et Stonehouse 9 390 RAWLINGS Eliza E Stonehouse 9 390 >> VOSPER Abraham Thomas Hemson Et Stonehouse 9 390 VOSPER William Et Stonehouse 9 390

you're welcome V V V :-)
just from my own experience, having a family that wandered back and forth from Cornwall to the Plymouth area ...
yes, those locations in Cornwall are some ways from Devonport
however, two things
first, Christopher was a seaman and could be expected to be found in various locations
second, it was very very common for people from Cornwall to eventually settle in the Plymouth / Devonport / Stoke Damerel / East Stonehouse area
there was a great deal of 'border' crossing in that era, mainly from Cornwall to Devon
the wife in a branch of that family of mine was in fact born right near Kea in the late 1700s, and when she married someone from Devon in St Columb in about 1820, they immediately settled in the Devonport area, where their son was born. The son then had children there in the 1840s, and then he settled back in Cornwall about 1850, and then in Plymouth again about 1860
I don't mean to be confusing although I'm sure I have been :-)
just to say that when it comes to Cornwall and Devon it is not at all surprising to see people born and married in various parts of Cornwall later settling in the Devonport area ... especially someone who was a seaman and possibly from that area originally
if you do have another query about this family just add it here and anyone who has helped so far will see that there is another request

Thank you all once again. It would appear that the questions have been answered. What a great response for what was just a long shot. Youv'e possibly found further children for Chris and Jane which will give food for thought. There is one further query which may require assistance but that is for later.
Thanks once again and more power to your fingers.

Feock is a long way from Stoke Damerel.
Though I suppose a seaman could travel around, as long as not a wife in every port.

in 1851 the list of households goes
John Bunster widower 33 Thomas " " son 6 Edward " " son 2 (transcribed correctly as Bunster)
Wm Pearce with wife and daughter
Jane Bunster widow 69 born Cornwall (mistranscribed as Buster)
I would have no doubt that she is Christopher's mother, myself
I have a similar situation in Nottingham, where through 3 censuses the woman who is surely my greatx2 grandfather's mother is living next to him
