	The best way to start would be to purchase a copy of Ernest and Mary's marriage cert. It will give you information as to how old they were when they married, where they were living at the time and the names and occupations of their fathers. My mother Muriel Ruby Hill devoiced my farther when I was about 11, she changed our surname back to her maiden name of Hill. I last saw my farther Thomas Ackers in 1993 about six months before he died. I have no information on my father’s side of the family other than: His father was Ernest Ackers born in 1903. He Married Mary Coulshed born 1905. They had two sons Thomas and Gordon. Gordon died I think when he was about 5years old. 	What did you want to know about your father? As you sign yourself as Hill, did you lose touch with him?
