The marriage cert would at least let you know the groom's age and his father's name, so you'd have an idea if it's the right person or not.

wow I have a feeling this is going to get very complicated thanks for the help I have a lot to sort through and a lot to try and piece together to see if things fit that's the hardest because you don't want to start researching the wrong family

On FreeBMD, nine McGuinness/Wrightson births in S Shields between 1911 and 1932.
I won't post them, as they may still be alive.

mm that's all interesting I don't have a lot of information on him I guess its a work through all the evidence and see which fits the best as there is not always a definitive 100% this is the right person kind of moment when u have little to go on

yes that's the right one just cant find him on 1911 but I did see a article about someone that could be him going to prison for 6 months in 1906 I think but couldn't read it all

i'am looking for some information on William John Mcguinness born 1887 to Joseph mcguinness 1864 and mary ann dean abt1864 I can find him on the 1901 census but then not on the 1911 and don't know why I did however find a possible newspaper article about a William john mcguinness going to prison but cant read all of it would like help just to find out what happened to him thanx
