Yeah, aged 10, I think he would be too little to be married. But I can't figure why he is a stepson when neither Elizabeth or John has been previously married. |

1851 original actually says Son-in-Law ( though it probably means step son ) |

Elizabeth HOCKING was born about 1821 or 1823 in East Lynn, Cornwall. On 4 Oct 1848 she married John Rutherford in the Parish of St Mary, Dover, Kent. I have quite a lot of info on John's family but I have very little on Elizabeth' s background. Elizabeth died in 1876 in Camberwell, London. |
