A code like C55 looks like a C of E church code to me, so presumably that register's in some local archive by now.
I don't know where the local archive is - maybe Scunthorpe library would know.

I know but sometimes expert people on here have given more information about marriages. I know you can find out about some marriages on Freereg but this one is not there. I suppose it was just wishful thinking.

What does b 18 mean?

I know I am asking a lot but is there anyway I can find out when this marriage took place. The marriage was between George Herbert Grey b 1888 and Helen Spencer in 1924 registered in Glanford Brigg. I have George on all the census between 1891 and 1911 but I know nothing about Helen. I was just trying to find out a little bit about her. I have tried freereg but could not find them. they had three children all born in Winterton Lincs so I guess they married somewhere around there.
