You haven't told us the EXACT info from the MC.

As has been said before, there is NO record of a marriage for the people you say were named as William's parents.

This is something you can easily check yourself, by looking at freebmd

Has any one ever got a copy of William and Margarets marriage ????
if so what are the details of parents as stated on it. and occupations

from the ages of some of the George Carters found I can see that the George and Elizabeth could be grandparents !! not parents.

the William Carter 1854 son of William and Emma is still about in 1881 so not him

As you have 'marked as answered' people will assume you need no further help

You still haven't said why you think William's parents were the people you name.

As I said before, there is no evidence to support this.

What is the source of the 'info' you have posted about the parents of William born c1854?

There is nothing to support the idea

Have you done any research?

The posting from Ancestry about the parents is a perfect illustration of how much rubbish people put on there

KathleenBell

KathleenBell Report 16 Jun 2015 13:24

The information that alviegal found on someone's tree can't be right. If William was born 1854 his parents can't have been born 1764 and 1768.
