Good find Jacqueline!

I had found this birth on Ancestry but couldn't find the family on the 1911 census.

It's a little strange as William Henry Whitehouse appears on the Birmingham Electoral register (and absent voters list) up to 1939 at 1 Beacon Buildings, Landsdowne Street- (his parent's address), but Laura is not listed there at any time.

Sarah, what was Laura's address on her marriage certificate?

Interestingly George William Pettifer (Laura's brother?) married a Laura and lived at 288 ICKNIELD PORT ROAD (Rotton Park, Birmingham) for many years.

Wow what a wealth of information on William Henry Whitehouse & family. thank you all so much it is far more than I could possibly have hoped for. Where did you find the military details of William H Whitehouse Jacqueline? In answer to Gritty s question as to where at the time of her marriage Laura was living, it 10 Summerfield Crescent Birmingham. you also commented on the other Laura & George Pettifer they were my husbands Grandparents.
