On the 1911 census for the family that Catherine has posted above in 1901, that Maud is shown as EMILY Maud.

Perhaps there were several Fowkes in the fishmonger business? I notice when Ethel Maud married her father was deceased, wonder if mother remarried and recorded under stepfather's name somewhere?

EDIT: Yes, that is a different family, EMILY Maud Fowkes married Alfred Tillett in 1919.

Thanks, she married Arthur Marsh in 1917. Going to visit my uncle John Marsh tomorrow(son of Ethel and Arthur). It's hard to find anything to talk about but he remembers lots of stuff from years ago, I couldn't find Ethel's parents, so thanks for the info, one last request did she have any siblings?
