Hi
Just to say I found most of the Census you have found at the Library today

Couldn't find Walter George Skidmore born 1852 Milton under Wychwood Oxfordshire

But I think I found a Marriage for Margaret Bassett born 1840 Tamworth
Thankyou
Olive

FMP is free this w/e so you can do it from home. Go to:
http://search.findmypast.co.uk/search-united-kingdom-records-in-census-land-and-surveys/and_census

and type in her name, and click on the census (record set) you want which appears as soon as you've typed the year.

FS uses the FMP/GR transcription, so in 1851 Margeret Basset's forename is respelled.

Hi
Thankyou
The birth for Margeret Basset 27 March 1841 Tamworth
States
Mother Ann Basset
Which has been found for me
Does the 1841 Census State Elizabeth Basset as head or Mother

It's hard to know if Eliza is Ann's mum or sis - the former, I guess, but 1841 only shows rounded down ages - 1851 implies Eliza's age was closer to 19 y than 15 y older than Ann - but my gran's siblings spanned 19y and her kids spanned 20y, so either is possible, so if Margt was Eliza's daur, she would either be Ann's sis or niece, and in 1861 would be Henry's sis-i-l or his niece. The only way she can be his step-daur is if she's Ann's kid.
