I had picked up the death and marriage, but I still really need to find his birth cert I think. Given that his father was also Alexander, but I have no idea of his DOB, how would I even begin to search for him? Thanks again for support and advice. Trish

Member Since: November 2004 Posts: 10 Send Message	Hi, I am new to this and trying to find info on my great grandfather Alexander Langley born in 1873/4 in West Ham. He married Selina Elizabeth Blayney in 1893 (M. cert 1c 367) and he died in Sept 1901 aged 28 (death cert vol 4a page 220, line 200). I have just ordered the death cert, but now feel that this isn't gong to help me trace his parents. I cannot locate a Birth or Baptism record for him and am wondering how I will be able to go back further without it and knowing who is parents/siblings were. I have tried variations of the Christian name...Alex etc, but no luck. If anyone can help or advise me on alternative steps then I would be very grateful indeed.
