Have a look at the site below which will tell you what places are covered within a Registration District. As you will see, Monmouth RD spans 3 counties.

If you click on the HERE when you get into the site you will see that Coleford and West Dean are among the Gloucestershire places covered.

I put in the surname of Jones, as an example, just to bring up the details - there were bound to be Jones' births!

It is not uncommon for a place to be in one county but in the Registration District of another.

That is the same info as the Ancestry version. What I find odd, is that Five Acres, Colford, West Dean is in Gloucestershire and yet it gives the registration district as Monmouth, Wales!

Frank was born

Francis Samuel Bayley Holloway 1873 Amroth, Pembroke, Wales

He married as Frank Samuel B Holloway to Catherine Harris 1902 Wandsworth, London.

Alfred was born-----Alfred Andrew Holloway 1876 Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

They are both with their parents William Henry and Susan Elizabeth on the 1881 and 1891 census, but I can't find either of them on the 1901 census.

I don't know who Alfred married and I have yet to find Frank's wife Catherine on the 1911 census.

Any help would be great.
