OK, it's clear now, Mark. The William Heyes in the OP is half brother of Robert France, both being sons of Bridget.

OK, was just trying to get it straight because you had so many wrong facts in your OP. I still don't know how you connect your foster mother to this Bridget France?

Mark

Mark Report 3 Feb 2016 15:48

I have all this but if I put this up it confuses people and then I am accused of covering old ground...

You say that you foster mother is descended from Bridget France but you don't say how. The thing to do is work backwards from her, her parents, grandparents etc.

Mark

Mark Report 3 Feb 2016 15:24

My foster mother - is Descended from Bridget France 1791 Leigh, Lancs
Bridget In 1829 William Heyes is born and marries Mary A Jones 1822 who has son James Heyes 1853 who marries Sarah Lowe, and Annie... Unless proven wrong.

Thank you

Now I don't know why but this tree owner has Sarah Lowe and husband James Lowe no marriage for this couple and no parents to either Sarah or James and just Herbert as a son and nothing past him either????????

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 3 Feb 2016 15:14

A tree on Ancestry says they had a son Herbert born about 1885 in Oldham Lancs.

Where does Sarah Lowe come into this?? Is she your connection please?

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 3 Feb 2016 14:37

That wasn't the only thing you had wrong, Mark. You also said that Mary Ann died 1872.

Perhaps you could explain how you're related to this family? You're evidently not descended from them because William & Mary Ann only seemed to have one child James and you don't know if he had children. So how are you related? Knowing that might help us determine if we've got the right family.
