No don't think it is the same chap Chris, though is a bit of a mystery, as this chap isn't married on 1939 census. I looked at Mary I cooper(Ashen) and she was married to Lewis Cooper, which is same name as my granddad,. He married a Mary J Robinson in 1959 when my grandma Annie Laura Cooper died, and I see there is a chap called Robinson on this 1939 census.

It says on Lewis Cooper my granddad born 1888 in Wickhambrook from Bury Free press newspaper in my possession but no date the funeral of Mr Lewis Cooper, of 107, Northumberland Avenue, Bury St Edmunds, took place on Wednesday last week at Bury Cemetery. The Rev A Widdicombe officiated Mourners were the widow, Mr Joseph Robinson (stepson)

He died in 1963 though
