Although the record says "Christening Place 165, EDERNEY, FERM, IRE", I don't think it's a record of a christening. I think it's a record from the GROI index.

It sounds like Ederney is a very small place. I wonder if maybe the christening was done at their home ... maybe the baby didn't live, something else to look into.

Historical Description(1840)

EDERNEY, a village, in the parish of MAGHERACULMONY, barony of LURG, county of FERMANAGH, and province of ULSTER, 2 miles (N.) from Kish, on the road from Enniskillen to Derry; containing 32 houses and 132 inhabitants. It is the property of the Rev. Mr. West, who is about to erect a market-house and some good dwelling-houses. Fairs are held on March 1st, May 16th, July 18th, Oct. 6th, Nov. 28th, and the 17th of every other month.

If you search on familysearch just using birth place as 165 Ederney, lots of results (of different surnames) come up for around 1870s, also the same for 162/ 163/ 164 Ederney etc.

I wonder if the numbers are reference or page numbers, rather that house/ address numbers? It's difficult to know without seeing the original entry.

On familysearch I found a baptism for a female child born to Robert Speer and Catharine Hicks. The address for the baptism is 165 Ederney, Fermanagh ... any suggestions about this address, a house or a church???
