Have you actually found Asher Jurd with Caroline and George in a census? I can only find an Ashley Jurd (no middle initial) c 1885/86 with parents Asher and Elizabeth

Thanks Chris. My mother was illegitimate daughter of Florence Jurd, sister to Asher. Florence went on to marry Jerimiah patrick Murphy so that side of the family areprobably unaware of my side. Must say that the Murphy road has been particularly difficult to put it mildly. If you are connected, May I have access to your tree please?

I still don't see an Asher Jurd with Caroline and George for parents, just the one with Asher and Elizabeth as parents :-S

I've looked at the 1911 census safc posted, and Arthur Greenol Ian Jurd definitely seems to have been written as Arthur and not as an Asher, can't find a birth for an Asher c1907, unless it's been mistranscribed in FreeBMD.

HI Chris,

My gut feeling, at least re Ashley Emery Judd, is that he is the child of Asher and Elizabeth, not Caroline and George, what you found seems to tie in with that Asher, but I don't know if Patricia has evidence of another Asher who might be a sibling to Florence...I assume something must make her believe there is a connection, but at the moment I'm just not seeing it. :-S

(not sure of things here either!, below as Patricia mentions)

(Can anyone help? I am trying to find the descendants of Florence Jurd b.1892 married Jeremiah Patrick Murphy in 1919. They had at least 6 children one of whom was named Georgina b.1924. at that time the family were living in Liverpool. Having not found any descendants, I am inclined to think that they emigrated.
I would be grateful for any info.

Florence born Romsey 1890 is defo Caroline and George's child, at least according to the 1891 and 1901 censuses I posted, but there is no sign of an Asher with the family in those two censuses, and the child born 1907 in the 1911 census safc posted looks like an Arthur on the image as well as in the transcription.

Just wondering what Patricia's grounds are for believing Florence to have a sibling Asher, but I realise I may be missing something...

Well looking in 'Search All Member Trees', Florence varies!, all seem to have below...
