Ah, now I didn't see that the address was different! I presume they renamed the new home the same?

You can search Probate Calendars and order Wills on-line here:

Thanks AustinQ and Chris, great work.

AustinQ which site do you use for the index of wills?

Chris how did you find the Keith Thomas website, was it just a google search?

Just an odd note. When Eliza dies she is living at West View, Hedge Place Road, Greenhithe. She was living at a road (which still exists) called West View in Swanley Kent in 1901 and 1911. I guess when they move to Greenhithe they called their house West View to remember their time in Swanley or maybe that is why they moved into that house.

Is it possible for someone to do a lookup in the 1939 register?

I am looking for a William Wright born 24/4/1860 in Widdington, Essex. He had moved to Kent by 1871 and stayed until at least 1911 so I would expect him to be in Kent

Also his wife Eliza Wright born 7/10/1860 in Dunton Green, Otford, Kent

I accept that they both could be dead. I can find no obvious death traces so before I go an order possible death certs I would just like to see if they lived to 1939.

Thanks

John
