looking for help on sarah Harvey born april 1905 st olive Bermondsey i have been informed that sarah who was my late husbands aunt died 18 dec 1999 but said she was sarah mary Everett she was married before but do not know her first husbands name I have been looking at marriages for a sarah mary to Everett but found none could some one find her on the 1939 electrol to see if she was still unmarried

Andrew I think that marriage I found could be her she did not have a middle name but on the death it says sarah mary this is confussing me

what does mentally defined mean?

Original says Mentally deficient at top of page and dittoed all the way down the column on that page for all entries. Also in column by her name AJA 29.12.1948 and on the corresponding line on the next page it says "see page 22" in red.

Looks as though there was a bit of confusion. Name originally written as Harvey in Black pen. This has been changed to Andrews in green, crossed through, Harvey written in green and crossed through and then Andrews written in green again - so I think probably all at the same time. There are a lot of initials and numbers also in green against the column with a date of 20.11.73

Have no idea what the letters and numbers mean - believe there is an explanation of some of the codes somewhere. Some may be Reg districts to do with the use or the register for the NHS after the war.

the marriage in 1978 in Hendon says his name is George e everett

On the first version of the 1939 posted (and I believe it's for the same person) the original name is written as Harvey Sarah in black. Her name this time is the first on the page and there is room above for several name changes in green.

Immediately above Harvey and working upwards is
Andrews with 20.11.73 LNM then
Harvey 17.2.77 MX then
Andrews 23.1.78 MX and finally
Everett MX 7.6.78

Wondering if LNM is a part of London and the MX is Middlesex, pertaining to addresses she moved to in those years and those names?
