Find Ancestors

I am looking for some help in locating information on Clifford wise, married to Gladys davies in 1942 Pontypool, he was in the royal Staffordshire regiment and was boxing champion with them but I cant locate any information about him, any help would be grateful.

Do you know if this is Gladys's death?

He married without a second initial - the above birth in Dudley, Staffs 1920 could possibly be him - which would give a reason for him to have joined the Staffordshires.

This is possibly his death - the dob given would match a Sep Qtr birth

There are a number of births surname Wise mmn Davies in the Pontypool area (and others elsewhere probably from other Wise/Davies marriages)

Check out the freebmd site again for those births.

There could be other births abroad. Very often wherever the Regiment went the wives went too (it certainly happened at later dates)
