As a very long shot, search "All Members Trees" under "Search" at the top right of this page.

If you search for Eddie Muller, you'll get 8 results.
Two are too young (1941 and 1961), but any of the others with DOB's might be worth contacting the tree owners about, just in case. Also the ones with no DOB or POB given.

Two are listed as born in Scotland, but no such births show on Scotlands People, so either the tree owner has the wrong POB, or the people weren't officially named Eddie or Edward.

Thank you for all your suggestions. The link to an Eddie from Purley was from my sister doing the same search. Unfortunately I have given all the info that I have. I am just hoping that someone recognises Eddie as a relative. I do have a photo but I can't work out how to add it to this page. :-(

Probably a silly question, but have you tried contacting the squadron, Meryl?

They may have archives.

Or the RAF?

http://www.raf.mod.uk/contact-us.cfm

Although, as you're not a relative, they likely wouldn't tell you anything

There's a lot of info about the squadron, including a forum, here:

https://75nzsquadron.wordpress.com/75nz-crews/.
But I expect you know that, too.

EDIT:
In fact, having read more of it now, I know that you do!

For helpers' ref:

R Muller's listed here (many times) as Flight Engineer in 1944:

Someone else (relative of Meryl, perhaps?) says he was from Purley, if that's any clue!

Doesn't mean he was born there, of course.

I am trying to find a relatives of a member of my father Terry Ford's Lancaster bomber crew, I am searching for R Muller, known to his crew mates as Eddie. He was a flight engineer with 75 no squadron, based at Mepal airfield. His service number was 1880452, and he was from London and the son of a naturalised German.
