I would like to know how I can find any information about my grandfathers grandfather who came from Iraland to Londen about 1869. His name was John Smith born 1845.

Ancestry shows quite a number of John Smith births in and around 1845 in Dublin.

You would need to find his marriage record, in the hope that it gave his father's name, to narrow the search a bit.

Don't know if this is the same family in 1881 or not - some age discrepancy.
Also the place name Cork is written across the line between John and Frances's POB details, so I don't know if that refers to John or to Frances. The transcriber has taken it to refer to John:
