Trying to find information of a marriage, i have looked in the uk GRO's

this is what i have Robert Umney born 1924 Newport Pagnell, Margaret Woodside born 1921-1922 Down Patrick Ireland.

Had 4 Children in reg dist Wellingbourgh and Northampton between 1950-1955

Margaret L. Umney, Robert S. Umney, Kathleen P.A. Umney, Rodney V.Umney.

If in ireland can anybody tell me how to go about it.

Any help would be great.

I don't see a marriage- although it appears that Robert was still with his family in Newport Pagnell in 1954:

Hello my mum is Margaret Amos nee umney the daughter of Robert umney and Margaret Umney nee woodside, I have ask all the children of from and no one knows where they married all I've heard it could have been ireland. My aunt Kathleen is not very helpful, my mum said Kath had a marriage cert for them but when you ask her she says it gone know and you could reed it anyway.

Well if that is her going to the USA 1948 and the first child born in 1950 that's a short timeline

Robert is still at the 1939 address in 1954 It may help to look at the electoral roll for that year to see who is with him

That info won't be online though it will be at the local main library for the area

The children were only reg as umney so on the face of it they were married. But then again records can be made to fit

Have you looked at any birth certs to see any addresses they may have recorded

To be honest to me Kathleen's response re the marriage cert seems a bit odd . Not that I am implying anything though
