Gladys if your not sure how to go about it put some names and years of birth and as much as you know about the people and perhaps someone on these boards can help you.

Welcome to the boards Gladys.

You're now in the realms of parish records!
Although you won't find births, you can find baptisms. Similarly Burials rather than Deaths.
Baptisms won't give the mother's maiden name & marriages won't give the father's name.

Ancestry, Findmypast and probably GR also have PR has part of their sub package.
Its always worth googling Parish Records + the area you are interested in.
