Have you actually got his death cert,if so who was the informant

Plus you say his wife could be a Winifred. So,he is buried with a Mary WINIFRED looks a strong possibility that she was known as Winifred

All the records tie up. His date of birth on the death cert is the same as his birthdate given on the 1939 registers so,it must be the right man

Can't see what more proof you need :-)

if 1911 is right john and albert are together in 1939. The death in 1976 has same birth date as albert in 1939

I think it's correct- on the 1911 census there is an Alice Finnerty (sister), living with Florence and John.

Alice Finnerty married Jesse Norbury in 1920.

Both John and Albert are lving with Jesse and Alice in 1939.

The 1939 register gives dates of birth. Albert's matches the DOB on the 1976 death.

1911 census is right but after that I've only got what I've been told which isn't much don't even know if the death is him

Not sure the names I 've been given for his wife are Theresa or Winifred
