Checked the Birmingham marriages 1920/30's. Nothing there either.

Of all the William Harpers - no yob - who lived in 'Birmingham', there are none that have occupations which could remotely have been tied into opticians/eye care/spectacle making.

There's always the slim chance that he'd already have been called up from the Reserves

Hi evrryone.
I would appreciate a little help please. The info I have is what you see - it's on behalf of someone else, and this is it! So quite a challenge. I realise it's asking a lot.
I am looking for a William Harper Birmingham, occupation optician (or similar, possibly made spectacles). He had at least one child (no idea of name) in the late 20's, and is believed to have fought in WW1. So best guess for age would be in his 40's or thereabouts???
Many thanks.
