I would like to ask if someone could find me a William Powell born circa 1888 in Worcester.

He may be a Military Man.
He married Annie Symonds in 1913 in Worcestershire.

He was K I A in WW1, 1914

I have no idea who his parents were and know of no addresses.

On some scraps of paper my late father left, there are these words 18/Jan 1905 at Worcester Attest.......Paper and I can not decipher any more.

So would there be records of him joining up?
Do I need to go on the Military Section of Genes Reunited to find out more?

I dont have time to go through all the pages ar the moment........but, it names his wife as Annie Jane Symonds (Spinster) and his mother......

In November 1908 he sailed on the H T Rohilla to India. (Ship later became HS [Hospital Ship] Rphillla, and ran aground in 1914 on Whitby Scar.)

A J Haggett received his Victory Medal in 1921, so the above address must be her address in 1921, not William's address in 1905.

Name is Haggitt on a form filled in after William's death.

The 1891 census posted by Malyon isn't the right one, with mother Mary Jane.

That William died in 1916, per CWGC. He was in the 4th Bn Worcestershire Regiment.
