?? Possible reason not finding in 1851 -

www.manchester.gov.uk › ... › Archive and local collections › View all collections

The original 1851 census suffered damage. For Blackley, Harpurhey, and Moston it is completely missing along with parts of Hulme, St. George's and London ...

Hi in the 1841 census Margaret was 1 so the 1854 death cannot be her if only 2

The 1854 death posted earlier by ArgyllGran is aged either 2 months or 2 years - the GRO index unable to distinguish. Free to use.

No, I don't see any of them anywhere in 1851.

I can't see Margaret's birth, either.

Thank you for finding her death but now it is like the family just disappeared between the 1841 census and 1861??

If she did die before 1861, as you suggest, there's this possibility:

Deaths Dec 1854 (>99%)

Margret (Margaret) Williamson Born Abt 1840 to Thomas Williamson and Agnes Jardine. Most likely address Chorlton upon Medlock.  All other children born in England were baptised at St Peters Square Presbyterian (Scotch Church) so its most likely she would have been as well.

Margret is shown as being 1 year on the 1841 census (6 June 1841). Although the census is hard to read it does appear to be Margret.  The family name has been transcribed as Williams .

I have not yet located the 1851 census for the family but she does not appear on the 1861 census so presumably she has died between 6 June 1841 and 1861.

Thomas has sometimes been listed as Thos and the family name sometimes Williams or Wilhamson and Agnes has also been shown Agnes Jardine, Gardine and Gordon.

Also looking for 1851 Census for Thomas and Agnes most likely at Newcastle St or 6 Fawcett St HULME.

Thanks heaps...xx
