Would someone please be kind enough to find for me a Christopher James Sheward in the 1939 register.

He was born in 1895/6 in Stourport on Severn, Worcestershire,

He married Ruby Dorothy Payton in Stroud, Gloucestershire in 1923 and he died in Taunton, Somerset in 1976.

Looks like Ruby married again around 1949 although I can't see a marriage. Perhaps she just changed her name to Bartlett.

Kath the maiden name of Ruby's Mother was Bartlett so that may be an answer to that one.
